The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination appeared on Saturday on National Television Authority NTA where he dissected all the issues that has lingered in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Prof. Is-haq Oloyede responded to issues that was raised after the UTME 2019 examinations, he said The Board got Majorly Three issues of which Lateness and Malfunctioning of Systems.
He also expressed disappointment whereby Candidates had to lie to their Parents because of the fear of failing telling them “Our System didn’t work for about 40 Minutes, whereas when you look through those students Broadsheet you will find that the candidate attempted all the questions and even submitted 10 Minutes before the closure.”
Professor Is-haq Oloyede, when he was asked on the issue bogging candidates and the Parents of which is the Results are delayed of which people have been yearning for he said JAMB want to change the pattern this year, he furthermore said the results are 100 percent ready immediately the candidate submitted the Examination but he said that JAMB want to Scrutinize what happened more often in recent years. He said they are looking for atrocities that has been committed.
Is-haq Oloyede also said that the JAMB Board has intellectuals who are working tirelessly to find out what happened in every centers where the exams was conducted.
He said they are studying situations to fish out those who involved in illegal dealings in the examinations.
JAMB ALSO SAID THEY WILL RELEASE THE RESULTS AS SOON AS THE EXERCISE (SCRUTINIZING) FINISHES.
He said Once Those who involved in Malpractices are eliminated the results will be Released.
He further said that some centres will be delisted of which some of them has become an avenue for Corruption to thrive.
